OPERA HOUSE HISTORY
The opera house has been in operation since it was built in 1894. The beautiful venue has hosted everything from grand balls in the Victorian era, early 1900s silent movies with orchestra music and dancing, town hall meetings, and Firemen’s Balls in the ‘30s and ‘40s.
The opera house is fitted with a 500-seat auditorium, which hosts orchestras, movies, concerts, and conferences. This venue was renovated in 1994, making it a modern space for more than 28,000 visitors every year.
